History

Three chefs in a year, one player piano

When we listed it, a player piano provided the soundtrack to the small, antique-filled bar below the restaurant. Bobo opened in 2007¹, and by Eater's account its looks and its address at 10th Street and Seventh Avenue had it packed from the start². The kitchen was less settled: by late 2008 Bobo had gone through three executive chefs in a year². It's still at 181 West 10th Street¹.
