Overview
Upmarket neighborhood wine bar has a selection of 150 world vintages.
History
Indecision, served by the glass
In 2009 we counted 150 world vintages at Lelabar; in 2010 CBS counted more than 150, each available by the glass for anyone having a hard time choosing1. Time Out that year described a minimalist vino lounge with a wraparound bar, a shiny tin ceiling and curvy wooden seats2. When it asked Community Board 2 in April 2025 to open at ten in the morning on weekends for brunch, the board's minutes noted it had been at 422 Hudson Street for about 15 years3. It still calls itself an elegant but casual wine room on Hudson Street, and its posted weekend hours start at one in the afternoon4.
