Overview

This bi-level gay bar is a slightly more low key option than Vlada Lounge. It's equally easy to have a conversation with friends or make new ones depending on your fancy. And if you feel like doing both your friends can take over one of the couches lining the wall near the bar and lure in passing hotties.

History

The low-key one, under new ownership

The Ritz dates to 2006, and one recent account counts it among the city's now-famed haunts¹. When we listed it, we called this two-floor gay bar a slightly more low-key option than Vlada Lounge, with couches along the wall for friends to take over. Eric Hanninen bought the bar in February 2025¹, and after some renovations it celebrated a grand reopening on May 17^{1, 2}.
