One of the best options in the area - a view of ESB, an outdoor roof deck, and reasonable drinks can make for a pretty nice all around experience in the summer.

History

The roof got a name of its own

Back then we liked the Hotel Metro's roof deck for its view of the Empire State Building and its reasonable drinks. In 2019 the hotel started its rebranding as the Kixby, and the roof became a new bar, the Lookup, due to open at 45 West 35th Street on May 15¹. The Lookup is still up there: Kixby's site says it returns for the season in June 2027^{2, 3, 4}.
