Overview

Sure it's a chain, but you've got to respect any bar that has OTB kiosks and a betting counter. And no less than 36 flat screen TVs mean that you'll never have to actually look at any of the bars other patrons.

Back then we gave it credit, chain or not, for its OTB kiosks and betting counter, and for so many flat-screen TVs you'd never run out of things to look at. We had it as Playwright Tavern; in 2011 a visitor guide listed it as Playwright Irish Pub, at the same address, 27 West 35th Street¹.
