History

Long-long vacant on Sixth Street

Time Out called Identity a dive, but a comfortable one¹. In April 2013 four bartenders from the recently closed Bar 82 took over behind the bar, but Identity closed for good at the end of that October^{2, 3}. The storefront then sat empty for more than eleven years, until a for-lease sign went up in February 2025⁴. In March 2026 Caledonia East Village LLC applied to open a whiskey bar in what EV Grieve called the long-long vacant storefront⁵.
