Regime change on East 6th Street

When we listed Eastern Bloc, we called it the only Soviet-themed gay bar in New York, a cruisey little place with a neighborhood crowd.

It closed over a weekend in August 2017 to make way for the actor's new club, Club Cumming, which was set to open on September 15¹. Cumming described it as a home for everyone of all ages, all genders and all sexualities¹.

Club Cumming still lists 505 East 6th Street, with a show on its calendar as late as October 28, 2026².
