We once called Josie Wood's not just a student bar but the NYU student bar, its basement all but annexed by financial-aid dollars. It's still at 11 Waverly Place, a stone's throw from Washington Square Park, and its own site spells it Josie Woods Pub, without the apostrophe our listing gave it¹. Inside are a long bar, pool, darts, a jukebox and 14 HD TVs¹. It even takes online reservations, which feels very grown-up for a place we said would make anyone over 23 feel like a dinosaur¹.
