History

A piano store's sign, a rock club's stage

Pianos opened in 2002 and kept the name and sign of the piano store that was there before¹. Its stage drew local and national alternative rock bands and DJs, and by December 2012 it was the biggest club on Ludlow Street's music row, and its owners were planning to take over the Living Room space next door^{1, 2}. It still hosts concerts every night in its live music room¹.
