• Caroline's Comedy ClubPick

  1626 Broadway · Midtown West

  Closed; now SPIN Midtown

If you can handle the tourists this 300 seat Times Square comedy club attracts some of the biggest names in the biz.

• Comedy Village

  82 W. 3rd St. · Greenwich Village

A different business is licensed at this address: Zinc

While it may draw the biggest names, the talent often surprises, and with a cheap cover and inexpensive drinks what have you got to lose?

• National Comedy TheatrePick

  347 W. 36th St. · Chelsea

  No license found in 2026

Two teams battle for improv suppremacy at this "Whose line is it anyway" style competion. Unlike nearly every other comedy choice in the city there's no drink minimums, no age limits, and it's a totally clean show.

• New York Comedy Club

  241 E. 24th St. · Rose Hill

  Still pouring

For the easily amused this venue can be a cheap alternative, but then again the same can be said for Saturday morning cartoons.
