History
Back on 47th Street, a stone's throw away
Langan's was an Irish pub frequented by the likes of Meryl Streep and Senator John McCain1. In 2018 it closed after almost 25 years at 150 West 47th Street1. The closure came, a newspaper reported, after the landlord sought to raise the monthly rent from $16,000 to $53,000, a little more than triple1.
In 2024 a food and beverage company planned to relaunch it, with a 4,000-square-foot lease a stone's throw from the original2. It's open now at 114 West 47th Street, every day from 11:30 in the morning until midnight3.
A Dunkin' has the old address at 150 West 47th Street4.
