History

From faux-military doodads to signature cocktails

Flight 151 pasted an aviation theme onto a Chelsea pub, with corrugated ceilings and faux-military doodads, but the point was the friendly crowd, cheap beer, 12 kinds of it on tap, and quality bar food1. Thursday was trivia night1. It's now Shaffer's, at the same 151 Eighth Avenue, renovated and with a menu of signature cocktails; a review on Shaffer's own site calls Flight 151 its former name and look2.
