History
Family business, cousins included
By a 2023 account, it's the oldest family-owned bar in the Rockaways1. George Healy founded it in 1968 with his brother-in-law, Billy Hynes1.
In 2013 it was up and running as Healy's Bar and Grille, ready for the crowds2. During the peak of COVID, some of the Healy cousins helped renovate a good part of it1.
It goes by Healy's Pub now, and on Mondays it opens at 11 in the morning and pours until one3.
