History
The stadium moved up River Avenue; Stan's stayed
Stan Martucci sold the bar to his son at what one writer called an opportune time1. It was 19981. By its own count, Stan's had been serving diehard fans since 19792.
Since 2009 the Yankees have played in a modernized replica of their old stadium, a couple of blocks up River Avenue1.
In September 2020 Stan's was closing its gates, at least until the next year3. It's back, and open for all Yankee Stadium events2.
