773 Lounge

A fire devastated 773 Lounge in November 2014¹. A year later, owners Margaret and Billy Cain were talking about reopening the beloved neighborhood spot¹, and they planned the comeback as a "homecoming" weekend, the first weekend in November 2015¹.

In March 2026 a sudden pipe burst caused significant damage and forced it to close again, temporarily². The bar said it was committed to reopening stronger than ever². An April 2026 jazz guide still listed Thursday open mic nights at 773 Coney Island Avenue³; whether the doors had reopened by then, we couldn't find out.
