Union Hall opened in 2006 from the owners of Floyd on Atlantic Avenue, with two bocce ball courts, pub grub and a 100-capacity venue on its lower level1. We said it was destined to be a neighborhood classic, and by 2017 the local press was calling it Park Slope's popular bocce bar2.
That was also the year it was tested: a blaze sparked in the second-story chimney on March 24, 2017, and shut the place down2. It recovered from the damage to its second story and fully reopened that July2.
Today it calls itself a 5,000-square-foot bar, restaurant, and live music and comedy venue in the heart of Park Slope, still at 702 Union Street3.
Researched October 2026.
