Why you should go

  • On weekday nights this is one of the few warm and low key lounges in the area. Good for a post-date drink or relaxing with friends. Howver, on weekends the small lounge can quickly turn to a mob-scene.
  • What you should know

  • Watch your wallet on the $12 cocktails.
  • The owners also own the nearby Saphire Lounge and Gaslight in the Meatpacking.
  • Luv is easy to miss, so keep an eye out. It's façade is as low key as the vibe inside
  • History

The low-key lounge that kept changing names

Our listing called it a low-key lounge of exposed brick and warm light, a respite from the scene-to-be-seen bars around it. By the spring of 2010 the address was home to The Eldridge, a plush lounge hidden behind a fake bookstore front1. In May 2011 new owners Matt Dino and Sean Hughes completely reinvented the place2, and that December yet another new bar opened at the address3. San Antonios, a Latin bar with reggaeton nights, operates there now4, 5.
