Upstairs, unmarked and full of Broadway
Bar Centrale is up a flight of stairs and behind a set of unmarked doors above Joe Allen on West 46th Street, in a converted brownstone1, 2. Town & Country called it the Broadway clubhouse, and it has long been a classic pre- or post-theater stop for cocktails and likely sightings of Broadway actors1, 3.
It's still at 324 West 46th Street, and a 2026 guide says it always feels like a house party where you might bump into Patti LuPone on the way to the bathroom2, 4.
