History

Still French, still family, still on First

Lucien Bahaj, a Moroccan-born restaurateur, opened Lucien in 1998¹. Our old listing sent readers there for the filet mignon and bouillabaisse. Bahaj died in 2019, and his son Zac now runs the restaurant¹. Eater's map still listed it at 14 First Avenue in February 2025².
