History
Upscale, and at the piano since 1989
In 1989 Paul Galluccio spotted an apartment building for rent on East 58th Street, and he and a business partner, Bob DeBenedictis, signed a lease and opened the Townhouse1. In 2018, at 82, Galluccio was still co-owner of what was described as a well-appointed gay piano bar1. It's still open, and calls itself an upscale gay piano bar, open since 19892.
