History

Outdoor drinking on a city license

The Patio Café, run by the Hospitality Holdings group, spent three years at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza¹. When its license expired on June 30, 2006, the Parks Department turned down its bid to keep going¹. In July 2013 a Dag's Patio Café opened in the concession stand on the plaza's east side, on East 47th Street near First Avenue². Today 342 East 47th Street is the address of Taskin Cafe³.
