Still pouring

Checked October 16, 2026.

Overview

The entire interior of this bar was shipped piece by piece from Ireland and reassembled here. The effect is an ambience of genuine authenticity with a only a few jarring details: an HVAC vent, false ceiling, and of course the omnipresent Wall Street yuppies boozing after work.

History

A Belfast pub, shipped to Pearl Street

The Full Shilling's interior was a Belfast pub's, shipped across the Atlantic ahead of the opening on December 15, 19991. When we listed it, we credited the import with genuine authenticity, docking points for an HVAC vent and a false ceiling. It's still at 160 Pearl Street, between Wall and Pine, an Irish bar and restaurant in the Financial District2. One reviewer who came mainly to check the Guinness and the pour wasn't disappointed3.
