History
In the room Le Cirque left behind
Daniel sits in a space Le Cirque once occupied, the restaurant where Chef Boulud was executive chef until 19921. His first restaurant venture opened in 1993 at 20 East 76th Street1, and in January 1999 it moved to 60 East 65th Street1.
In 2021 it underwent a renovation led by the designer Adam Tihany1. It's still there, serving dinner Tuesday through Sunday2. That a bar guide listed it at all says something about our ambitions in the late aughts.
