Overview

An indoor / outdoor trattoria that turns into a velvet rope scene to be seen on summer weekends. On other occassions it's a perfectly relaxed albeit somewhat pricey spot to enjoy some goat cheese pizza with the smoking hot European tourists staying at the hotel.

History

The rope came down quietly

Our old listing had La Bottega, the Maritime Hotel's trattoria, as a velvet-rope scene on summer weekends and a relaxed, somewhat pricey place for goat cheese pizza the rest of the time. In January 2015 it quietly closed its doors at 88 9th Avenue1. Tao Downtown is still in the hotel's lower level2, 3, where Eater said in January 2025 it had been for over a decade2.
