History

Same boat, new pier

The Frying Pan is Lightship #115, built in 1929, and it sailed to New York City in 1989¹. In 2007 construction of the park forced the lightship and its railroad barge from Pier 63 to the newly built Pier 66a¹. In 2009 we said the moving floor gave you a ready-made excuse for your drunken stagger, and the excuse is still on offer, now at 207 12th Avenue².
