A governor drops in for the World Cup

We listed it for the disco. Mulligan's, at 159 1st Street, now bills itself as Hoboken's premier football destination, European football and NFL both¹, and a local report called it a go-to spot for an expertly poured pint of Guinness and international soccer². In May 2026 Governor Mikie Sherrill came by to announce that New Jersey towns could extend bar hours during the World Cup².
