Overview

It's hard to come up with a better place to watch the game, when there's free wings during Monday night football and TV sets right at your table. And when the game's not on there's always Connect Four.

History

A dive bar, formerly a dive shop

Before it was a dive bar, it was a dive shop: the space had been home to Pan Aqua Divers, an actual one1. Lee Seinfeld and Jim Peterson opened Dive 75 there in 1998 or 1999, depending on who's counting1, 2.

When we listed it, we called it hard to beat for watching the game, with free wings during Monday Night Football, a TV right at your table and Connect Four for when the game wasn't on. It turned out to be more than a sports bar. After Hurricane Sandy, when many were left without power, people came in for a hot meal2.

It's still at 101 West 75th Street, and on Fridays it's open from 2pm to 4am1, 3.
