Whiskey Tavern opened at 79 Baxter Street in Chinatown in July 2008, from the owners of Whiskey Town¹. When we listed it, a bar that measured its worth in flat-screen TVs seemed an unlikely fit for a spot so far off the beaten track, but there it was. It's still there, open until 2am early in the week and 4am Thursday through Sunday². In March 2026 one visitor found it after walking over the bridge and called the happy hour solid: a great beer and some fries for a steal³.
