Overview

Warm, spacious, and homey this new bar and restaurant already has that worn in neighborhood feel even though it only opened in February 2008. There's a couple dozen bottled beers and it’s the only bar for miles in any direction with Speckled Hen on tap.

History

Worn in from the start, and still on DeKalb

When we listed it, Rustik Tavern was brand new and already had a worn-in neighborhood feel. It calls itself a neighborhood tavern since 2008, and it's still at 471 DeKalb Avenue1. Dinner runs Wednesday through Saturday from 4 pm to 11 pm, and there's now a sister location in Building 77 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard1. The worn-in feel, it turns out, was a head start.
