History

A Fort Hamilton pub with a film credit

Kitty Kiernans opened in 1996, and James Keenaghan owned and ran it from the start¹. Spike Lee's 2002 film The 25th Hour was filmed there in part¹. Keenaghan has since died². The pub held a soft grand reopening on March 22, 2025, and it's still at 9715 Third Avenue^{1, 3}.
