History

The building, at least, kept its date

Doyles was gone by October 2013, when a community board agenda listed the Happy Days Lounge at 118-16 Jamaica Avenue¹. In 2021 the lounge was still there, in a building that carries its year of construction, 1899, in a cornice atop the roof². The Happy Days name has outlasted the lounge: a Happy Days smoke shop has the address now³.
