History

Still a place to work up a sweat

In May 2006 Eater reported that Star, the Upper West Side nightclub, was changing owners and concepts1. The newcomers, the former Copacabana owner John Juliano and Marc Glazer of Branch and El Morocco, planned to turn it into a dance club and private party venue called Columbus721. Time Out now lists Star as closed, and 246 Columbus Avenue, between 71st and 72nd Streets, is home to Momentum Fitness2, 3. The address still gets people moving.
