History

First the license, then the building

St. Nick's Jazz Pub was a jazz club on St. Nicholas Avenue, at number 773¹. It closed in December 2011, when its liquor license wasn't renewed¹. On March 22, 2018, a fire damaged the building badly enough that it had to come down, and demolition began that same month^{1, 2}.
