History

New interior, same layout, same old name

Milady's spent more than 80 years at 160 Prince Street, on the corner of Thompson1, a Soho spot known for its cheap beer and its pool table2. Then the landlord decided not to renew the lease, Jeremiah Moss reported, and the staff was told on the Friday3. It shut for good after service on January 12, 20143.

Three years later the space was still empty, though others had eyed it for a restaurant1. At least one other business occupied the address in the interim4. In October 2022 the name came back to Prince Street under the reins of Julie Reiner2, 5, who teamed up with her partners from Leyenda and Clover Club, Christine Williams and Susan Fedroff, as well as Sam Sherman2. The interior's new, but the layout's the same4.

It's at 160 Prince Street5, open till 2 in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays5.
