Since 1916, supposedly

McCoy's claims to have been around since 1916, a date a 2020 review passed along with a careful "supposedly"¹. The same review found a narrow, dark Irish pub in Hell's Kitchen, which is about what a bar with that claim ought to look like¹. It's still listed at 768 Ninth Avenue².
